Highlights:
Acts 4:1-4: Peter and John arrested for preaching about Jesus and the resurrection from the dead.
Acts 4:5-12: Coming and speaking before the Sanhedrin with power and boldness.
Acts 4:13-22: Speaking and preaching in the name of Jesus forbidden.
Acts 4:23-31: Peter and John released, acknowledgment of God through prayer, prayer for boldness.
Acts 4:32-36: Sharing in all things.
Discussion:
"But Peter and John answered and said to them, "Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard."
What boldness! Most of us would just stay quiet in hopes of getting out of jail. How would you respond if you were commanded not to speak at all or teach in the name of Jesus? Perhaps, this is a personal question and not one that we would necessarily have to answer during our conference call. But, let's give it a deep thought.
